Mission Spotlight – you can’t do everything… but you can do something!
“The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40
February Mission Emphasis is LifeCare Network. LifeCare offers support and varied services to women with unplanned pregnancies, as well as programs for birth fathers, post-abortion support services, and prevention programs. They are ALWAYS in need of diapers, particularly sizes 3 & 4. Let’s show them how much we appreciate all they do for the Kingdom of God by showering them with diapers and wipes. They are also in need of volunteers! Please prayerfully consider if God is leading you to volunteer as a Client LifeCoach (bilingual also needed). For more info, contact Jessica Rickenbach at Jessica@lifecarenetwork.net.
Men’s Resource Center Needs Mentors. Do you have a heart to work with men who are struggling? The Men’s Resource Center is growing and we have a need for a few more male mentors. For info, contact Lew Craven at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Feed the Bay is March 26, 2017. This is the day we all go shopping at Publix to fill local food banks with necessities for struggling families in our community. Volunteers are also needed at both Publix stories AND local social service agencies that receive the food. Volunteer registration will be open soon on feedthebay.org.
Florida United Methodist Children’s Home Day on Campus is April 1, 2017. This is a great way to learn more about this awesome mission partner, located in Enterprise, FL. Check out www.fumch.org for more information.
New Hope Food Co-op. The food cooperative is the first and third Tuesday of each month and serves about 100 families from our church and community. For $5, each participant receives approximately $40 worth of groceries, including produce and eggs! On Feb. 21, the Flu Lady is coming to speak at co-op about how to stay healthy and avoid the nasty flu. Donations of stable items, bulk items, and produce are always needed.
For more information on these service opportunities, please contact Rev. Vicki Harrison, at the Church Office, (813) 689-4161, or email@example.com.
